“Today’s ceremony is more than a formal admission; it is a landmark in your professional journey. The trust placed upon you is profound,” Babu said, highlighting the lifelong commitment to service, professionalism, and ethical conduct that enrolment entails.

He reminded the new Advocates that their role requires not only technical expertise but integrity, courage, humility, and strict adherence to ethical standards, including confidentiality, avoidance of conflicts of interest, and faithful service to clients.

Babu urged them to actively uphold public trust, safeguard the reputation of the legal profession, and embody the highest standards of discipline and accountability.

He also encouraged the new members of the Bar to embrace the Radical New Bar ideals championed by ULS and the 4D campaign—Decolonization, Demilitarisation, Democratisation, and Digital Transformation—aimed at strengthening Uganda’s legal profession and advancing justice.
